Rob Gascoyne BA CSCS - Director of ProActive Performance

Rob Gascoyne is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Advanced Sports Massage Therapist, and American College of Sports Medicine certified Personal Trainer.

As a 400m hurdler Rob competed in the British League for over 12 years for Sale Harriers and represented Yorkshire and the North of England. His experiences as an injury prone athlete ignited his passion for understanding how to maximise sports performance.

Rob's innovative speed camps and training programmes are bringing a revolutionary new approach to sports specific training for coaches and athletes, with outstanding results. His pioneering methods deliver sport specific strength, speed and agility training to help athletes reach their potential. Rob has developed his training programmes based on an expert understanding of the role of functional biomechanics in sports such as golf, football and rugby.

Rob's freelance soft tissue and rehabilitation expertise has seen him work with the first teams at Leeds United FC, Barnsley FC, Castleford Tigers RLFC and Rotherham Titans RUFC. He is currently Strength and Conditioning coach to Bradford City FC, European and Challenger Tour golfers and various other professional athletes.

"As an athlete I spent many hours training in the gym with programmes that didn't improve my performance on the track. The essence of ProActive Performance training is in developing each individual to help them to realise their true sporting potential."
